Slots, departures and products
Voyant says slot in some places and departure in others. They are the same thing. Here is how the pieces fit together.
Voyant Support
Three words get used around dates. They stack up like this.
Product
The thing you sell. "Berlin Cold War History Tour".
Schedule
The rule that says when it runs. "Every week on Mon, Wed, Fri at 10:00."
Slot, also called a departure
One actual date the rule produced. "Sunday 9 August 2026 at 10:00, 16 places, 14 left."
That is what every row on the Availability screen is. The product page calls it a departure, this screen calls it a slot. Same thing.
Why it matters
Changing the schedule affects future dates. Changing a slot affects only that one date.
- Cancelling one Friday because the boat is being serviced, change the slot.
- Stopping Friday departures for good, change the schedule on the product.
