A person record for Anneke Weber showing the about panel with name, job title, email and status, and tabs for activities, relationships, documents, payment methods, communications, addresses and bookings
A person record. Details down the left, history across the tabs.

About

The panel on the left holds the facts.

  • Name and Job title.
  • Email, Phone and Website.
  • Relation and Status.
  • Preferred currency and Preferred language, which shape what they are quoted and what language they are written to in.
  • Date of birth, needed by some suppliers and for age-based pricing.
  • Source, where they came from.
  • Tags, your own labels.

The tabs

  • Activities, things logged against them.
  • Relationships, how they connect to other people and companies.
  • Documents, passports and anything else on file.
  • Payment methods, cards or accounts held for them.
  • Communications, what has been sent to them.
  • Addresses, where they live or are billed.
  • Bookings, everything they have bought. Usually the most useful tab.

Preferences are worth filling in

Preferred language decides which version of a notification somebody receives. Preferred currency decides what they are quoted in.

Setting them once saves getting it wrong on every future booking.

Documents

Passport details and similar live on the person, not the booking, because the same passport covers every trip they take.
